The inaugural Dentistry Wellbeing Symposium and Dinner is being held on 4 November, at the Voco Grand Central Hotel, in Glasgow. The event is in support of The Canmore Trust, founded by Professor John Gibson, whose son Cameron died by suicide.

The symposium features a range of speakers who will present on topics relevant to the wellbeing and mental health of people who work within the dentistry profession.

They include Dr Kevin Lewis (Tales of the Unexpected – a lifetime of professional experiences and reflections), Dr Jeremy Cooper (Stress and Anxiety in Dentistry), Dr Mike Gow (Practical session: reduce stress and relax), Dr Colin Campbell, (Modern team management for health and happiness) and Professor Rory O’Connor (When It is Darkest: Understanding Suicide Risk).

Professor Gibson will deliver The Jamie Newlands Memorial Lecture, Introducing The Canmore Trust.
