The Scottish Dental Show was a sell-out success this year attracting record numbers and offering even more – proving that it is the must-attend event for the Scottish Dental community.

Taking place over Friday 29 May and Saturday 30 May, the event saw nearly 1800 people walk through the doors of the Braehead Arena, a 30 per cent increase on last year.

The trade show was fully booked with more than 140 exhibitors, and in terms of the programme, attendees were able to choose from 40 speakers and record up to eight hours of verifiable CPD (continuous professional development). Among the speakers were the leading figures of the dental profession, such as Professor Edward Lynch of the University of Warwick.

Also, the future stars of tomorrow were given a chance to shine at the Scottish Dental Awards on Friday night, which attracted 400 to the ceremony.

Alan Ramsay, Managing Director of Connect Publications, which organises the Scottish Dental Show and publishes Scottish Dental magazine, said: “It’s been another cracker this year – the show was a sell out, registrations were well up on last year and a record number of people attended the show and the awards. The amazing success of this year’s show demonstrates that this really is the must-attend event for the dentistry sector in Scotland.”

Alan continued: “Feedback from those at the show has been fantastic. In fact, we have already booked a quarter of the exhibitors for next year.”
