Vocational training in Scotland 2026-27

The recruitment process opens on 6 October.

The recruitment process to become a Dental Vocational Trainer for the 2026-27 training cycle opens on 6 October.

NHS Education Scotland welcomes applications from Dentists interested in mentoring new dental and dental therapy graduates in their practices, as well as registered Dental Therapists who would like to be considered as Trainers on its Dental Therapy Vocational Training programme.

Dental Vocational Training will be presenting a webinar about becoming a Vocational Trainer on 23 September. This webinar will provide information about the VT Programmes in Scotland as well as how to apply. There will be an opportunity to ask question at the end of the session.

If you are unable to attend the webinar it will be posted on the NES Dental Vocational Training website shortly afterwards, along with other resources.
