Lectures on safeguarding children and young people feature on both days of this year’s Scottish Dental Show.

Dr Christine Park, Senior Clinical University Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Dentistry, at Glasgow Dental Hospital and School, will provide an introduction to child safeguarding and outline what members of the dental team should do if they have concerns about the welfare of children.

You can register now for the free-to-attend Scottish Dental Show or log in to your registration account and book your education seminars.

The education programme provides delegates with the opportunity to earn up to 10 hours of CPD. The programme features all of the GDC’s recommended and highly recommended topics:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Disinfection and decontamination
  • Radiography and radiation protection
  • Legal and ethical issues
  • Complaints handling
  • Oral cancer: early detection
  • Safeguarding children and young people
  • Safeguarding vulnerable adults.

It also features lectures and workshops on clinical expertise, dental education, wellbeing and sustainability – plus, the business and finances of dentistry.

The event is attended by more than 2,000 delegates who have the opportunity to gain CPD hours, network with colleagues and meet representatives from more than 120 dental supply and advisory companies.
