BDIA announces Bridge2Aid as its official charity partner
Fundraising initiatives, awareness campaigns and activities will be rolled out throughout the year.
The British Dental Industry Association (BDIA) has announced that Bridge2Aid, the charity dedicated to providing sustainable access to emergency dental care and oral health education in underserved regions, has been selected as its official charity partner for 2025/2026.
The BDA said the partnership reflects its long-standing commitment to supporting ethical, impactful initiatives that improve oral health, not just in the UK but globally.
Bridge2Aid trains local dental healthcare workers in low-resource settings to deliver vital dental care to their communities, and trains local community members to deliver oral health messages – offering a sustainable, skills-based solution to a widespread healthcare gap. The charity’s work closely aligns with the BDIA’s mission to promote best practice, education, and innovation across the dental industry.
“The BDIA’s Council chose Bridge2Aid because their approach to tackling global oral health inequality is practical, empowering, and sustainable,” said Edmund Proffitt, BDIA, Chief Executive. “Their work transforms lives and mirrors our values as an organisation committed to the betterment of dental health worldwide.”
“We are honoured to be chosen as the BDIA’s charity partner,” said Shaenna Loughnane, Chief Executive of Bridge2Aid. “This collaboration allows us to amplify our message, reach more communities, and continue providing the tools and training needed to change lives through oral health.”
The partnership will be launched formally at the BDIA National Conference, taking place on 17th – 18th September at Silverstone. Fundraising initiatives, awareness campaigns, and collaborative activities will be rolled out throughout the year, offering BDIA members and the wider dental community multiple opportunities to get involved and support the cause.
