At the Scottish Dental Show this year, Adele Johnston MSc, the menopause coach and educator, will share practical tools to help dental teams better support colleagues and patients navigating women’s health and menopause.

Her lecture, at 14.00 on Saturday 13 June, will challenge traditional perceptions of menopause within dentistry and equip delegates with the awareness, confidence and practical tools needed to respond effectively.

It will explore how menopause is impacting the dental workforce and patient experience, highlighting the need for more inclusive, informed approaches.

By the end of the session, attendees will better understand the physical, psychological and cognitive effects of menopause, and feel empowered to support colleagues, adapt workplace practices and improve patient care.

The session will encourage dental professionals to rethink outdated norms and take proactive steps towards a more supportive and forward-thinking offering.

With a Master’s degree in psychology, Adele is passionate about helping individuals and organisations better understand the physical, emotional and cognitive impact of menopause, translating complex science into practical, relatable guidance.
