The University of Glasgow is asking GDPs to refer suitable patients for a course of treatment at their student outreach clinics.

The clinics are where final year BDS students plan and complete a course of treatment for patients in supervised clinics.

Treatment is free to patients; however, they should expect the students to take longer completing treatments.

Referrals are suitable for patients who require simple treatment such as NSPT, direct and indirect simple restorative cases, prosthodontic cases and orthograde RCT.

Patient’s will be discharged back to their GDP following completion of their treatment plan.

Referral is via: https://www.gla.ac.uk/schools/medicine/dental/practitionerreferrals/
