Kirkliston Dental Surgery sold
It has been purchased by Vineeth Balachandran.
Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Kirkliston Dental Surgery near Edinburgh.
Founded in 1990 by Elizabeth and Graeme Lithgow, it is a four-surgery mixed-income dental practice with 7,720 registered patients. They recently decided to sell because they wanted to retire from practice ownership, but they will both remain working at the practice post-sale.
In a joint statement, they said: “We are incredibly proud of what Kirkliston Dental Surgery has achieved over the years, and it has been a privilege to serve the local community. Deciding to sell was not an easy decision, but finding the right successor was always our priority. We would like to thank our dedicated team, loyal patients and the wider community for their support throughout our ownership”
Following a confidential sales process with Kevin Strain at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by Vineeth Balachandran, the owner of Seven Hills Dental Practice, Bankton Dental Practice and Midlothian Dental Practice.
“I’m delighted to have acquired Kirkliston Dental Surgery and to welcome the team and patients into our group,” he said. “Having operated three practices near Edinburgh, I’ve long admired Kirkliston’s strong community identity, growing population and the surgery’s commitment to quality care.
“We plan to invest in the facilities, expand clinical capacity, and introduce additional services over time, while maintaining the trusted, friendly environment patients value. We look forward to supporting the existing staff and building on the strong foundation already in place to ensure the practice continues to serve the community for many years to come.”
Elizabeth and Graeme Lithgow added: “From our first conversations, Vineeth’s patient-focused ethos, experience and plans for continued investment gave us great confidence that the practice will be in safe hands.”
