The Centre for Implant Dentistry has opened enrolment for Cohort 2 of its Level 7 Diploma Course in Implant Dentistry running from 7 October 2024 to 9 June 2025.

The diploma is approved by EduQual, the regulated awarding body approved by SQA-Accreditation. It comprises five units over eight months, including two fully-mentored cases with continued support, 114 verified hours of CPD, and CBCT Masterclass Levels I & II.

The units are:

  1. Principles of Implant Dentistry and Treatment Planning
  2. Surgical Principles and Clinical Day
  3. A Week of Mentoring at the Centre for Implant Dentistry
  4. Restorative aspects of Implant Dentistry
  5. Implant Maintenance and Management of Problems

The Diploma Course will be conducted by Dr Tariq Ali and his team. Dr Ali is the owner and senior principle of the renowned Centre for Implant Dentistry in Glasgow. He is an eminent practitioner and recognised leader in his field. He has been providing cutting edge solutions for patients faced with edentulism, from single implants to complex full-arch treatments. Dr Ali is a teacher and mentor to dentists across the country.

“Our aim is to create and nurture a body of dental professionals instilled with a core ethic that places their patients’ best interests as paramount at all times,” said Dr Ali.

The course is complemented by the additional specialist expertise of the Centre’s Dr Hatem Algrafee, specialist in periodontics, and Dr Darina McCartan, general dental practitioner with a keen interest in conscious sedation. The CBCT Masterclass Levels 1 & 11 are led by Dr Jimmy Makdissi, Senior Clinical Lecturer in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology at Queen Mary University of London and Honorary Clinical Consultant, Barts NHS Trust.

DTX Planning Software, offering meaningful, clinically relevant 
implant planning and worth £2,995, is included within the course fee.
